Our fast-growing, manufacturing firm is seeking a Shipping Manager with previous experience preferred. Shipping Manager is responsible for logistics and order fulfilment operations.  A successful shipping manager will oversee the proper packaging of finished goods, manage the staging of finished goods, and ensure completed orders are delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage important shipping documents; packing lists and bills of lading etc.
  • Manage UPS, Federal Express, LTL and Truckload packaging and shipping
  • Follow  Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with accuracy
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Train and oversee the work of individuals assigned to your area and ensure that work is performed in accordance with quality standards and SOP’s
  • Other duties assigned by Manager


  • Knowledge of logistics procedures
  • Self-motivated  and effective decision making skills
  • Work to demanding production schedules and strict quality requirements; multitask ability
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Operate electric pallet forklift safely
  • Computer skills including Email Microsoft Outlook, Global Shop, Great Plains, Excel
  • Forklift Certification.  (NAPCO will provide training opportunity for individuals that do not have current valid forklift license)
  • Ability to lift min. 45 lbs. consistently during the day and on a daily basis
  • Ability to communicate (telephone and e-mail)
  • Ability to comprehend written communication in English


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years’ experience preferred
